@Draft_DC - Emotionally Corrupt

A young rapper who goes by the name Draft just released his conscious debut album titled Emotionally Corrupt inspired by betrayal, broken promises, and the Lord Jesus Christ. An interesting point with the project is how Draft described it. "In reference to the Biblical story of Jesus Christ, his death, resurrection, how he died and certain events leading up to his betrayal (his demise), emotions were all running high in a whitewash of lies, betrayals and when it all ended nobody wanted to save him. We were all washed with the BLOOD OF JESUS." All nine tracks are closely connected as Draft raps about his experiences with liars and people who have betrayed him, something many people can relate to. All the songs are somber, with a lot of emotion poured into all of them as Draft keeps to the different concepts. The project is pretty well-balanced and structured with no guest features in sight.

Not many rappers right now, especially aspiring artists, release such conscious material. Many people are more focused on trap because of how well it sells currently so it's pretty dope that someone saw a gap in the market, very well done with the project.
