We bring you the young prince of Cape Town, illRow, with his brand new EP titled Flats To eKasi Pt. 1 so you already know he's planning to bring more heat soon.
The EP is quite concise being 3 tracks deep just to "wys" yo'll that we got the juice. He fittingly opens the project with Cape Doctor which has that characteristic Kaapstad boom bap feel to it. On Cav'ighost he gets all grungy rapping in Xhosa as well on this menacing track. illRow calls out all the fakes who have a tendency to oversell and overcompensate just to fit in. Relax, he says. He closes off the piece with Up To Me which has a bounce to it. This is more of a self affirmation track. A celebration of his own progress and how people now look up to him after all that he's been through, despite what the non-believers thought of him. That's right, YOU did that homie! SHINE ON EM.
