Absolut is at it again and this time around they are broadening the horizon of what their One Source campaign really means and stands for. In their latest campaign they are inciting a creative revolution that celebrates the birth place of creativity, art and originality - Africa.
The campaign is two fold in that they firstly present the One Source Live festival which will take place next year, 24th March 2018, and will be an international platform of expression for creatives of all walks of life in fashion, art, ideas and music. Ahead of the pending festival, they shot a film called Africa Is On Fire which features Khuli Chana, Sho Madjozi, Trevor Stuurman, Osborne Macharia (Kenya) and Fabrice Monteiro (Senegal) who are superheroes with powers that advance their environments. We're totally here for Sho Madjozi being a rain queen okay? Very fitting!
The second part of the revolution is actually changing the way the whole world sees Africa. When you Google search "African art" you find a lot of print and paintings which actually do not correctly depict the real art that Africans do and Absolut wants to change that. The revolution involves you being part of changing those images that come up on the Google search by voting up images that you feel best represent "African art." You can literally change the way the world views our art by joining the revoution over here. This is dope! NEXT LEVEL WORK.
