Durban's Champ Tile drops off a 5 track EP that preludes his upcoming LP. The 11th Hour EP has Champ flexing his lyrical prowess, particularly on the fierce sounding Plot Twist. The multitalented artist and producer is set to follow up this project with another titled 10kHourz but he gives us a taste of who he is on this EP.
We're digging how he slows things down on Before The Hourz showing us a softer side of himself as he reflects on his true character in juxtaposition with fame. On Queen Mary Avenue he continues with the same RnB influence in the music and the reflections only get deeper. I won't lie, I totally gravitate towards these kinds of raps and sound. Although he's still wearing his heart in the rhymes, Champ sounds very stern in his delivery on this track making his lyrics that much more heartfelt. Beautiful. He seals off the project with a reminder that he's here to rap his socks off but he's gonna do with it with the cleanest level of finesse. Give the EP a listen and tell us what you think:
