@djsupernova U(SA) @usadocuseries Episode 6: Resilience

We're on the 6th episode of Dj Supernova's U(SA) docu-series and it also happens to be the second last episode. Supernova has come to South Africa a couple times and this has allowed him to travel to different parts of the country as well as meet musicians to get to understand our music better. On the 6th episode, he hung out in Midrand with none other than King Kotini and got to see just how much love he gets from fans. This was around the time Boss Zonke dropped and Riky went on to discuss his come up and breakthrough in the game. Makhado has become one of the leading artists who constantly tries to put aspiring musicians on and inspire them to work hard, he's someone who's always frank and tries to keep it real whether it's in his music or regarding any funny business in the industry. He is also one of the few performers who actually jumps into a mosh pit to jam with fans. 

Of the interviews I've watched of local rappers, they always mention how they all started out mimicking the American style of making music and the general lifestyle before it dawned on them that they could actually stick to their roots. "Recently people discovered that you can be South African and do Hip Hop, you don't have to try to be American anymore." The guys later discussed Nafukwa and Riky went on to explain how he never gave up when it seemed like the big players in the industry were against him.
