On the fourth episode of Dj Supernova's U(SA) docu-series, he focuses on fusion and it starts off with a young Karabo aka K Rap sharing his "panty-dropping" poetry. Karabo recites a poem of women's struggles and flaws, stating that he appreciates her either way. In my head, I could imagine elderly women ululating in the background as he shares his poem. Supernova goes on to introduce Stilo Magolide and the rapper shared the creative process that came with creating one of his timeless hits, Mr Party. Stilo went on to explain how he and his producer worked on fusing Hip Hop sounds with Gqom that would later inspire how Stilo makes his music in future. While we all find some sort of inspiration growing up, either from family members or even movie characters, Stilo shared that from an early age he always looked up to his uncle who inspired his character and sense of fashion. The interview, of course, happened around the time Stilo dropped More, fast-forward two years later and he released his second studio album Tropicana Jiiig.
Supernova goes on to explain how he fuses different songs together when he's at work and he had the chance to play it for Slikour who couldn't stop bobbing his head for that matter. Because Nova plays in the states and the people there still aren't used to the vibe and sound of our music, he fuses beats they're familiar to with acapella versions of South African artists' tracks.
