Hoax, of the ever talented Arcade Music, drops his debut project titled Mosh. You can be forgiven for thinking, "mosh pit"? However, it's nothing related to that. This project is an illustration of a creative wearing his life on his sleeves, or rather, in the music. Hoax kinda time travels on this project going back to a younger him and thinking about all the things he used to do wishing to be a better person today.
We're loving how misleading the sound on the album can be in terms of the fact that the content of this album is pure reflection of some dark times in his life yet the music is very lively. A great contrast which forces you to listen closer, testing your ability to grasp music. Are you listening to the beats more than you are hearing the stories in the music? This is a perfect project to test that about yourself. Arcade Music is known for their funky production which often borrows from classic, funk and jazz elements infused with trap beats which definitely comes through on this project as well. Mosh is dreamy from beginning to end and Hoax's voice is the only thing that keeps your feet close to the ground otherwise you'd be floating in space over this production.
The project is definitely a recommendable unit. Hoax's confidence with himself as well as his precise delivery keeps you tuned into the project. The title track, Mosh, is one to awe over, he sounds hella seasoned on this track. Magical work on here.
