Dave East drops off a new loosie hot off the drop of his Billboard 100 charting project, Paranoia: A True Story. The single sounds just in line with the atmosphere of the work on Paranoia although it didn't quite make it on. He teams up with V Don for a grimy beat that has some characteristic late 80's hip hop feel to it with the minimalistic drum play juxtaposed by fleeting piano and symbols in the back.
Although Dave is rapping in the most laid back of flows, he sounds hella dangerous in his delivery on BiPolar as he reminisces on the hard times he's experienced compared to where he is in life right now. I love how he assures Kairi (his daughter) that she's gonna be alright no matter what, affirming that he'll never go back to that dark place he used to be at. It almost sounds like he's having an episode by the time he gets to the bridge where you hear him speak in the background about being BiPolar so as to say his thoughts out loud 'cause they disturb him in his mind. Loving how the hook is a testament of success with him name dropping some of the material goods he can now afford. Victory is yours black boy.
