We joined the live audience at Ms Cosmo's Weekender Live edition of The Stir Up on 5FM where JR was performing some of our favourite songs taken off his what.a.life album. He opens with iMin'iyeza, then goes into the romantic DITR (Diamond In The Rough), before he goes into detail about how Sauce came to life. I won't lie, the production on the track transcends genre and quite literally transports you to an African beach front somewhere in the Eastern parts of our continent.
Ms Cosmo asks him about why there are no features on the album and he explains that the music was too unconventional for other artists to get into the album properly. Moreover, he just wanted to tell his own story above everything else. We then get an inside into what inspired Ngilinde right before we close off the party with Vibin. By the way, remember how he teased the video a while back? It's officially dropping on TV (Trace Urban) all of today so you know we're that much closer to having it for ourselves.
